Today when I was at a stop light my trucks rpms went up from idle to between 1000-1500 rpms and kinda jumped and felt like it would if the trans was slipping but I never moved. It's the first time it done it. The truck ran like usual after. Any ideas. It's a 05 dodge ram 1500 4x4

 

Does any body have any ideas?

i wouldn't worry unless it does it again, sometimes the computer does weird stuff

 

I also wouldnt worry too much about it but when was the last time you changed trans filters and fluid?

 

Mine used to do that every once in a while........could possibly have something to do with your EGR Valve. It still happens occasionally even with a repalced EGR valve. Not a big deal......unless you explode
