Default Exhaust ????

I know, you guys are probably getting sick of these questions. I did try a search, but could not find what I was looking for.

Anyways, my brother-in-law has an 03 quad cab sport with the Hemi. His only beef with the truck is the exhaust tone, not grunting like mine. What exhaust setup are you guys using that sounds the best? He really isn't into performance, and I know with the groundefffects that they mold around the rearend, he will probably stick with the single pipe. Have anyobody been having bad luck by just replacing the muffler with a Flowmaster 40 or 50 series?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I fifgured it would be a nice birthday gift!

I put a 70 series flowmaster on my 4.7L, and it sounds EXCELLENT. It's not excessively loud, but man, it sounds like a v8 should. I have some audio of it.

Remove your muff and install a staight pipe in its place: 20.00
Keep the exhaust resonator in place as your muff: 00.00
install high flow "Y" pipe: 60.00
Install electric cut out after after the "Y" pipe: 250.00

Total spent on the BEST performing set up for your 3rd Gen Ram: 300-350

SPEED SAFE, AIR RAM

Are you replacing the whole system or just the muffler?

I was thinking about getting him the 40 series Flowmasters. Like I sadi, he's not huge on performance, just wants to **** off the neighbors a little and scare old ladies at the grocery store!!!

Magnaflow... only way to go if you want a deep tone without droning in the cab. I have mags on my hemi and it sounds mean.
