installing y-pipe

Default installing y-pipe

For those who have done the y-pipe did you have to move it farther back towards the rear?

Just a little bit. It ain't a big deal doesn't affect nothing at all. It's also way better than the crappy factory one.

Not to thread jack but i was thinking about doing a highflow y-pipe high flow cats/no cats & a new muffler. Not sure on what headers i want, would it make a difference or should i just wait till i do headers. Its on a 02 4.7L ram

Unless you have an '03, which only has 1 cat (at least mine does) after the 'Y'.

i dont believe in high flow cats i think its a waste of money

newer stock cats flow just fine and i wouldnt replace them until they need it

im not sure about headers mine are stock

i was actually thinking about just doing away with the cats & doing a straight pipe, with the y pipe & then the new muffler
