No Compression Cyl 5
Yeah I had the whole timing cover off to reset the secondary chain tensioner. That is what doesnt make sense, it seems like a timing problem but according to the service manual it is OK.
Rotate the crank to the TDC mark, and the came gear should show an R L and V8 on top.
This seems so stupid.

Go through my thread in the FAQs on how to change a cam in a HEMI and look at the part that shows the crank and timing gear and where the timing marks should be.
The cam gear has a arrow on it and it should be at 12 o'clock but the crank gears key way should be at 2 o'clock and dead on the Chrysler symbol. If it is off you will have wrong timing

Well what a nightmare.
I had looked for the cam thread in the FAQ, and there was nothing. I have seen you mention that there is a 4.7L teardown thread, can't seem to find that either. But timing is dead on, at least the cams to crank.
Now all 8 are running pig rich. I took the first O2 sensor out, and it helps a bit. After only a short time I can see the whole cat glowing red. I do not know if it is clogged causing this problem, or it is just getting hot from running rich.
I get P0351, P0353, P0354 and P0355. But not necessarily all at the same time. The CEL comes on when it tries to idle around 500RPM. It will stall from 1000RPM and below. It like everything just quits, but I wonder if that is the PCM killing everything due to the ignition MIL.
Its definitely not drivable. Completely lost as to what to do. I may take it to the dealer to have their fancy computer hooked up to it, but can't quite afford for them to do much right now.
Edit: Going to look at the cam sensor. The manual is talking about the ASD relay that supplies the injector and coil also getting input from the cam sensor. Maybe the sensor is dirty enough to be causing problems, but not enough for it to throw a MIL of its own.
