There is a 6.1 cam right now on DT and LX for sale for $50
And yes, the 6.1 springs and push rods will work fine in the 5.7 heads.
2004 engine does NOT have MDS.
Check here for the parts. If you want, see what you want and then call Art @ Hensons and tell him you are a member on here and Dodge Talk and last I heard they will give you 10% off everything.

I know the 6.1 springs, 6.1 push rods, crank and cam bolt are close to $100.
Head gaskets and new bolts are close to another $100
Lifters come in sets of 4. You need 4 total. P/N is 53021720AB and they are about $65 each so thats $260 total.
But you can get a full used set from an 05 from 05_ram_1500 over on DT as he is parting out his truck.

Okay thanks so much for your input. Not to many people will help someone without a price. As soon as I get my tax return nex week I will order the right parts and blog everything to post on here. Thanks again.
