i H ave been having this problem too i took my truck in on friday so they could "take care of it" by replacing a hose that goes from to the charcoal filter but after the tech tested it, it was still leaking so now i have to take it back in so the can remove the fuel sending unit witch is in hte fuel tank i'll let you know how it goes, part should be in tue. and i assume it should be done with in a day.

I LOVE THE WARRANTY!!!!!

if you can handle an evap leak, you can handle any evap leak...

i do these daily and the most common failures are the gas cap not being on all the way (some people...*shakes head*), the big hose into the canister, or the gas tank lock ring. the smaller failures could be anything but the gross/large leak should be pretty obvious. if it's a newer truck (a few thousand on the odo) I'd look more at blaming the canister or the switch...you can use a vacuum pump to see if they're sealed.

Default Depending on your mileage it may be covered...

I had the small leak on my 02 and replaced the gas cap. It did not go away. If you look in the manual the emissions warranty is like 60K or 70K miles. I took my truck to the dealer and they found a bulge in one of the evap hoses. They replaced the hose and the light went out. It was all covered under warranty. I have 36500 miles on my truck.
