Default Hemi Oil Change ?

Hey all
Just bought a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 with the 5.7 Hemi. How many quarts of oil? First gas trucck ive had in a while. Had an 04 Hemi 3500 think it was 7 quarts.....correct me if wrong

I'm pretty sure it is still 7 quarts.

Im sure there is, but i pick truck up tomorrow. Just figured faster here that way just grab oil/filter on way home. Thanks for reply.

Ah, that would make a difference. 5W-20, seven quarts. Filter of your choice. I'm partial to K&N.

Yes, it is 7 qts. The factory oil recommendation for your truck is 5W-20 if under 14,000lbs GVWR or 5W-30 if over 14,000lbs GVWR. You don't have MDS so you can run the 5W-30 either way.

Note - the filters for the 08+ HEMI changed. It is not the same one you would have used on your 04. They now use a metric thread. MOPAR MO899 is the number( cross to whatever brand you like ).

Fumoto oil valves work really well also.
