Only problem is you gotta watch out if you are in an inspection state. My cousin got an automatic fail on visual inspection in NYS. Even though it's a perfectly legal system when closed, the ability to hit a button and bypass the cats is a fail there.

Cost was $525 for the cut-out and installation, $275 for removal five months later. Lot of money to pay for five months of loud exhaust, IMO.

If the state does a visual, you will in all likelihood fail inspection...
