Does anyone know what the incentives for the dodge rams will be next month... I wanted to save more money, but right now they have 3500 cash back... Thanks

I've been watching the rebates myself, however I have decided to wait for the 2006 to arrive now. I bet they will still have good incentives when the 2006 comes out as well. Are you thinking about waiting for the 06' as well?

I wouldn't expect incentives to be less. From the news reports GM's latest seem to be working (in the sense that they are selling more vehicles--and apparently still losing money on each, to the tune of $2300 on average per vehicle... Ouch!), so DC and Ford will surely compete to try to stem market-share erosion. GM's has been reported to have shot up dramatically (from 22% to 30%) in the short-term since the advent of "employee discounsts" for everyone. I'd have a hard time imagining much of this came from import makes.

Good luck on your intended purchase.

You may want to rethink your decision between the '05 and '06. DC has announced that it will discontinue the 7/70 warranty after '05. So if you can get cash back plus work with the dealer for a good price on remaining '05 stock, this may be your best bet. I would think you could get 2-5% of off dealer invoice plus rebates at this point. I know when I was looking at Avalanches, the 2-5% off dealer invoice seemed to be the benchmark for the going price.

Don't forget the 06 is 3 yrs and 36,000 miles., not 7 years and 70, 000 miles.

If you want an 06 I wouldn't worry about them not offering the 7/70. It's not worth much and you can buy a much more comprehensive extended warranty. DC's 7/70 only covers oil lubricated components that very very rarely go bad in the first 7/70.

Very rarely go bad? Do you not know of Chrylser's horrid reputation for not being able to design a tranny? I have actually had FWD transmissions explode before 70k miles. Chrysler transmissions are some of the most inefficient and poorly designed of the lot. The flip side to this was the incredible warr and the some of the best engines/final drive units around. I am a loyal MOPAR guy. But since they have decided to forego the 7/70, I will be reluctant to purchase their new or slightly used products again, unless I can get the dealer to throw in an extended warr for next to nothing. I think DC is going the wrong way on this warr issue. At a time when GM and Big Blue are struggling and DC is doing slightly better....well let's just wait and see, but it sure seems to be a bad move.
