Hello guy, i went for a ride in my truck last night in the passagner side for the first time and i noticed a huge amount of cold air being blown in throught the top crack where the glove box closes and i opened the glove box and it was like major air conditioning very cold air. Any ideas what is causing this?? Now i know why it never seems hot in the truck with the heat on full bast for a long period of time. thanks in advance.

Default Cold air, only when driving fast.

I have the same problem but I only noticed it since it got cold out. I had the passenger check the heater vent and there is hot air coming out of it as well as all the other vents. No matter what setting I put it on (while I’m driving) there is still a lot of cold air. The only time cold air stops is when I get in to town and drive a lot slower. I figure there is a hole somewhere?

As stated above, your recirculating door is broken .It’s allowing fresh air to enter unhindered.

The only way to stop the cold air from entering, is to replace the door. Tons of threads on this site on how to do it, just search. Model and year don’t matter. It’s common on all 3rd gen Rams.

Check this out.https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...rculating+door

You have to get the replacement door in. It may seem like just a little air is coming in, but if you live where it gets cold, your passenger will freeze in the winter!! I have that amp there too, you have to loosen it and swing it away as best you can, and access that motor. It is a huge pain, but it can be done. I have done it!!!

You've got some great advice here, jonathan. If you decide you'd to get this inspected by a Dodge dealer, please let us know. We'd be glad to help.

Dealership will cost around $1500. Tried that route when it first happened to me.
