Question Anyone ever replace their Mode 2 door?

Hi Guys,

I have an 07 Ram 1500.

I did my research on here before i made another repetative post about HVAC control issues. I gotta say this site is hands down the most informative i ever been on. Awesome wealth of knowledge!!! Thanks guys!

From reading and watching the tutorial on Youtube i have determined that my mode 2 door is definitely the issue. Although, the tutorial doesnt get into the entire replacement of the door. Therefore, i am a little hesitant in tackling this job til i know what 2 expect. I understand this is the hardest one to replace but besides exposing the door/motor with a few cuts to the metal brackets, how hard is the door to install from that point on??

Thanks in advance!

Jeremy

i just did it last night, but I had 4 bad doors, so i opted to remove the whole HVAC system. i actually used the two links that weed provided to get it all apart. its not hard at all, just a lot of screws.

i purchased the heater treater kit and everything fit up well and i will not ever have to worry about the doors breaking again.

Wink Thanks guys!

Weed and Shorty thanks for the replies. Definitely a big help! I plan on tackling my HVAC issues once things warm up a bit!

I'm with you. I need to replace my mode 2 door this spring also. My feet have been cold all winter. I will probaby just replace all the doors with the Heater Treater parts, while I've got it apart.

i finished up my HVAC project with the heater treater doors and i must say its well worth the extra expense knowing that i will not have any future HVAC problems.
