Default Truck randomly shuts off.

I have a 2006 Ram Hemi and just wanted to know everyones 2 cents on what you think my problem is with my truck.

A few times in 9 months my truck has died driving down the road. Check gauges pop up and beeps at me and truck randomly shuts off.

After a good 1-2 minutes of it turned off, it will fire right up with no problem.

Anyone got any ideas of what is wrong?

Thank.

Mine did the same thing. You need a new EGR sensor

All good things being said. Also check for bad connections at the PDC.

My 05 Hemi did that for about two weeks before the EGR valve CEL light finally came on. It would stall on me when letting off the gas while approaching a turn or red light. It was pretty scary trying to turn with no power steering or acceleration...

I saw in some other threads that an updated code version is available for the computer that the dealer can supply. It is "supposed" to resolve the problems. I found this same thing is being experienced in Durango threads as well. It looks like it is common across certain years of HEMI engines. Mine has been running fine since, but if it happens again I am throwing in the towel and getting rid of it.

Default '05 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi stalls

Have been experiencing stalls when cold in the Ram 109K miles, have had the ERG codes (P404), then EGR replaced 2 yrs ago; have had the P420 code since late fall, have sreset 3X & comes back within a week. The stalls have been present in last 6 months, usually when cold (first 5 minutes or so), usually restarts. No O2 sensors replaced yet, but bank 1 upstream is a start....anything else ??
