Default Body Lift???

Hey guys I have a little problem, I plan on putting a 2.5" level and a 3" body lift on my 08 ram 1500 4x4 and my shop told me that the exhaust and my tow package won't move is there anyway that I can fix this?

Yes, get a new shop. The exhaust hangers will have to drop a little if there's any that are body mounted, that's pretty simple. What do you mean by tow package? rear receiver hitch will stay put as it is frame mounted, that is okay it looks fine. If it's a 5th wheel hitch you might lose it or have to do some custom work.

It's my receiver hitch, there is a guy on another forum that has a body lift and level and his receiver hitch stayed even with the bumper and I want mine to do the same

never seen that, you'd have to make custom brackets.

your rear bumper will become 3" higher than your hitch, but most kits come with pieces that fill in just enough back there so you don't notice it at all. the cheaper kits will only have little spacers and then it's definately obvious. as far as your exhaust goes, you'll have to reroute anything from behind the axle to the rear bumper to bring it back up, but you'll have to be strategic due to the frame being in the way.

Mine hangs down, I wouldn't know there was a body lift if I hadn't looked for body lift blocks under the cab

As said before, the receiver is mounted to the frame. So when you lift the body it moves the bumper away from the receiver. I have a BL also and lots of pics in my gallery in my signature. Feel free to go through them. As said also, the exhaust will be lower than the body once it is lifted and you will need to get it cut loose from the hanger and lifted and re-welded. Its not that hard.
