P0404? Has anyone had problems with that code and actually ever got it fixed properly so it never comes up again???? My truck shows that code and when i take my foot off the throttle to slow down the RPM wants to dance up and down a bit like it wants to stall. It has actually stalled on me twice but fired right back up again. Drivn down the highway it dont skip a beat or when its idling in park. I cleared the code twice in the past 2 wks and it came on again when i was passing someone on the hiway.

P0404 has to do with the EGR valve performance. So without getting into the electrical part of it just yet, have you replaced your EGR valve yet?

Just clearing the code isnt going to resolve it.

If your located in the colder areas, your mileage suffers. Additionally, the winter blend of gas has lower BTU's. I lose anywhere from 1 -1.5 mpg during the winter. The last iten is your tires. Did you have the speedomter recalibrated moving from 265 to 285R70. If not, add 4-5% to your calculation.
