front outer tie rod problem?

Default front outer tie rod problem?

whats the measurement for the maximum ware on a outer tie rod on a 2004 dodge ram 1500 4x4? the driver side one is clicking when ever you turn the wheel. should i just go ahead and get a new tie rod end?

If you can afford to.......just replace both outters with a set of MOOG Greasables. If you're doing one, you might as well do both cause you will need an alignment anyway.

Find some new Moog tie rods on ebay for cheap and replace them. Be sure to get an alignment after swapping them out. Its not hard. Also check the ball joint boots for cracks or excessive play.
