Question 02 4.7L wet motor problem

When i hit a water hole seems to be on the passenger side the motor bogs out and run really rough. If i let off the gas and back on it a few time it clears up. I can drine in the rain just fine one when i hit a water hole kind of hard. This just started a few weeks ago. 88k auto trans manual 4X4 shift and no mods. Any help would be great! (before i'm sitting along the road).

So obviously something is getting wet. maybe you should check all your electrical connections and try to waterproof them??

The motor dosent act like it's not getting air and for the electrical it clears up in just a minute or 2 after I hit the water hole. The truck makes like a humming sound loses power and u can feel the humming through the whole truck. I've blasted water holes before no problems. Just of lately it's been dying this.

Is your wheel liner intact and good? Next time it happens pull over and see whats wet. Both the computer and airbox is on that side.
