Wheel Removal
I replaced the stock 17" wheels with stock 20" wheels on my 2WD 1500 about 8k miles ago. I went to rotate the tires and I cannot get any of the wheels off. It is if they are seized to the rotors. Any suggestions for getting them off?
Many folks have this problem. A BFH on the back of the wheel with a 2x4 for a cushion works. I think I'd try kicking the wheel rim in a few places. A squirt of WD-40 between the wheel and the rotor may help.
because the rotor and rim are different metals they corrode and that causes it to stick.
leave the lug nuts on a bit with the truck jacked up and give your wheel a good kick, just be careful you don't kick the truck off the jack lol good luck
after you get them off rub some anti seize on where the rim meets the rotor and you will never have this problem

good advice. I just kick the crap out of mine at the top of the wheel. watch the jack though! I jack mine up about 1.5in off the ground max when I do that. anti-seize or even a little grease will help that
loosen the lug nuts and slowly drive forward and reverse for a short distance (5-10 feet).. again, CAREFULLY so as not to damage anything. usually the slight momentum and then swift braking will break the rotor and wheel free from each other. Only loosen the lug nuts a tiny bit at a time.
And yes i feel like a moron telling someone to loosen lugnuts then move the vehicle... but when push comes to shove, you gotta do what you gotta do!

Hammer and kicking didn't work. Didn't use anything like WD40 though. I will be borrowing a BFH and giving it another shot tomorrow. Thanks for all the advice!!

I had the same issue with one of mine once. I had to soak everything with penetrating oil and used a rubber mallet and beat the face of the 20 and finally broke it loose. I didnt think it was EVER going to come off but eventually it did.
Good luck
