Question Help electronic throttle control problem

i have a 2003 1500 hemi.when i started it it reved all the way up then comes back down and runs like crap.to it to the dealership had the etc flashed still does the same thing.they told me it had a vaccum leak. any ideas want to sell it. bought a 2004 2500 wife said its got to go.please help

Welcome to the site. Try taking the TB off and cleaning that back side of it. An 03 has no EGR so you are safe there. As for vacuum leaks, go out there and let it idle and spray carb cleaner or starter fluid over various parts of the engine and vacuum lines and see if the idle RPM changes. Honestly though, the only vacuum lines I can think of are the two on the intake, behind the TB on the drivers side.

tried them nothing worked any other ideas? electrical maybe?

When was the last time to replace the spark plugs?

never have. had it since 107000 now has 139000think that would trip the light

They were supposed to be replaced at 30k and every 30k thereafter. replace them with the OEM champion plugs for less than $2 each and see what you get. Bad or worn plugs will certainly make it run rough and bad.

bad power brake booster causing a vacuum leak? Unhook the battery for about 1 hr to reset the computer?
