hello i'm a owner of a 05 1500 4dr 4wd 5.7 ram short bed i like this truck the only things i'd change about it is front straight axle, 35gallon or 100 fuel tank, and more power.

so i'm looking into buying a wrecked 2500 quad cab short bed diesel and my friend is about to bid on a 2008 2500ram and i would like to know if that is still the range to have the same body mount line up so all i'd be doing with 2008 would be sending the frame to be straightened and then bolting the cab and body pieces from my 2005 to then installing the 2008 wiring into the cab if there were any differences for the diesel or if i could just swap the computer and instrument cluster


so if you all could answer if the cab can fit then i'll start the bidding at 2000$

and look for a crown vic body to go on my 05 chassi

 

Sounds like you had better have access to a nice shop and lots of fabrication tools and skills.

just got some more info on the truck after talking to the owner the frame is still straight with the exception of two body mounts being bent and drive line is safe with exception of radiator broken and the cool thing was a after market factory 2nd tank adding to the 35gallon tank with a 30 gallon tank and mounting the spare in the trunk

and i also thought about it i'm only going to bid up to 4000 or 5000 because if i spend 10000$ to buy the truck at the point i could of just traded in for a f250 7.3 diesel expedition 7.3 diesel or pre 2007 Cummings but i'll sure to tell you of the decision and when i finally get to the build some time next year if i buy it friday 11th
