turn signal switch bad
Hey guys!
This same issue happened to me this past summer. There is a recall on the part. Replacement should be no-charge. I received a check for the reimbursement of the warranty deductible from Dodge. It happened to my 2006 MC 3500.

It's not unique to 06 models. Mine does the same thing occasionally and it has for the past 3 years. It's highly aggravating that something as simple as a turn lever doesn't work because they decided to make it a multiplexed signal where a computer has to interpret the resistance and determine what you've chosen. I've got cars from the 50s with their original blinker switches and they work just fine.
I cannot find my paperwork on it. The dealership should be able to find it though easy enough... here's link I found..

And here's a link to the thread posted on DF this summer with the link to the Gov't report.

Look what I just got from the Chrysler Group today:

Hope this helps a few of ya out who may be having the same problem. I already paid to have mine fixed a year ago so hopefully they will be rimbursing me.

Now if only they would step up and fix the previous years too. It's not like the switch is any different, or that it only started to act this way on 06 models.
I wonder if there is a new part to go with this or if they're just buying you another few years of proper operation until the switch is again out of spec and you again end up with random functions.
