turn signal switch bad

Question turn signal switch bad

well looks like my turn signal switch has gone bad, gotta replace it. any way to do that without take the steering wheel and air bag off? id rather not mess with the air bag if i dont have too. if not any tips on this and do i need a specific type of steering wheel puller?

oh and if this helps what is happening is when i hit the left turn signal the right comes on; when i hot the right the right comes on and sporadically when i hot the left it starts flashing left then switches to right

What year do you have?
On mine(2008) the multifunction switch is held on by a few screws and is just underneath the solumn molding. The wheel doesn't need to come off. If it's your multifunction switch which controls your wiperblades as well, then it's an easy replacement as far as I'm aware of.

ITS A 2006, YEAH it would be good if i dont need to get the steering wheel ill look at lunch and see if its that

06 will be the same as my '08. I think you have nothing serious to worry about. A few Torx screws to get the column covers off and then a few more for the switch.

Found this for ya. Piece of pie man.

the exact same thing happens to my 06 qc 1500 but only every once and a while. Let us know how it went? And if you dont mind me asking how much did the switch cost?

well ended up taking it all apart, unplugging the connector and replugging it in and poof problem fixed thatll work for me at the moment

Just two weeks ago I had mine replaced on my '06 QC and yes the steering wheel had to be pulled. I ended up taking it to the dealer and it cost me a total of $157.00, $77.00 for the part and $80.00 labor. The switch actually wraps around the steering column to tie in with the hazard switch on the top of the steering column.
