2004 dodge ram seatbelt light stays on

Default 2004 dodge ram seatbelt light stays on

I took my cloth seats out and installed leather seats with heat. Now my seatbelt light stays on. Can someone help. Thanks

Did you reconnect all the electrical harness's? Did you check the pins in the connectors on the old seats versus the new seats?

Main harness was different so I cut old off and wired new seat harness so I could get the seats to work . Seatbelt wires same do be the same though.

Your air bag system may not work properly now if the seat belt light is on. The driver seat belt was replaced on my 07 Ram this past January. The part alone was $300+. The dealer told me the belts are linked in with the air bag system.

Hairball - (nice name BTW), sounds like you might need to go through the Service Manual and look through the schematics and check the wiring. I know you said it is the same but obviously something isnt right. Either the wiring it not correct or something didnt get connected good or grounded.
