I know for a fact that i dont have the "black box" under the hood and that i cant do "wire cut/disconect" mod. BUT i read in this forum from a member in the 2nd Gen saying that when he got a custom SCT Tune he asked to remove the TCS/TCM (or somthing to do with traction), and it was removed and his wheels were all the way loose... so if the 2nd Gen has it than i should have it too and i should be able to remove it too with an SCT tune..right? i may not have the little box but it could be internal (PCM) right? im confused
Im pretty sure his verbiage is off a bit. Guys running SCT are custom tuned which means they have a tune written for their specific truck. This can get you a lot more power and by "unlocking" the wheels I think he means he the power now to break them loose and spin them.
Yeah I've read this and was unsure before about the tmr mod on our 02s but I have seen everyone say that with an sct tuner you get torque management completely removed which is basically the same thing just with the tuner and not buying the wire.
