Hello, I have a 2002 4.7L Dodge Ram 1500 SC. It has 132K miles and i'm trying to keep it running until the new tires I put on fall off.

The check engine light has came on so I took it to AutoZone where the definition says this:
Radiator Fan Relay Circuit Condition
Explanation
ECM has detected an open or shorted condition in the radiator fan relay circuit
Probable cause
Open or shorted radiator fan relay
Open or shorted circuit condition
ECM defective

So I bought a new radiator fan relay circuit and installed that, do I need to replace the ECM?

Recently I noticed the transmission down shifting extremely hard, then it shifts back like it's confused about what gear it needs to be in. Is this a transmission problem, spark plugs or just something mentioned above causing the problem?

Also while driving down the freeway the truck will rev rpms between 1800 and 2000 cruising @ around 60-70mph. Im a car noob, I try to DYI because I hate paying an arm when I could fix it at the house for less. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated Thank You

 

You would not happen to have the actual DTC codes would you?
