Default WTB Outer Tierods?

Trying to find all my parts for my frontend rebuild on my 07 Hemi 1500 4X4 SLT. I got my set of Bilsteins coming, and my Brakemotive pads and rotors are on their way. Alls i need for now is the outer tierods. I read something about MOOG Greasables on here somewhere, but no mention of where to buy them.

What brand do you guys recommend and where can i buy them? If i can get them locally (SE Michigan) great but if ordering them is cheaper then i'm all for it!

Any help would be appreciated!

Jeremy

They changed the damn things for the '07s from what I'm told Moog only makes them for the MegaCab in '07 1500 flavor.
Nobody to my knowledge has been able to locate outer tie rod ends for an '07 QC 4x4 from any maker except Mopar, and they suck a$$!!!

Only way I know of to do it is to buy inners and outers together. If you go that route, Rancho has some really stout ones, part numbers are 602616 for inner and 602614 for outers. This combo will work on all '06-'08 4x4s.

I have the '04 version of the Ranchos, and they are greaseable:

You can also try any autoparts store or www.rockauto.com

Default Thanks!

Thanks guys,

I did a simple search and O'riellys has them for my truck the best i can tell part #ES3625. They are MOOG brand and are greasable for $50 each. Unless i'm not seeing something, they appear to be the ones i need. On rockauto i dont see a MOOG tie rod available for my year truck. There is another brand on there that might fit but only the left side is available. I hate how they say extended crew cab, does this mean 4 door or quad cab or just like it say ext crew cab not a true 4 full door(quad cab).

If i'm missing something regarding the fit of these TieRods please let me know!

Unless I'm mistaken, the Moog #3625 fit an '07 Ram 2500/3500 and MegaCab 1500 4x4 BUT NOT a 1500 QC 4x4. Been thru this with other '07 1500 QC 4x4 owners here and on other forums and if anybody has found a greaseable outer tie rod end that fits without having to purchase the inner tie rod, they have not posted it up to my knowledge...

Default Hmmmm!

I noticed that on another site about that part number relating to the 2500/3500, but when you do your part search on O'Reilly's it says that part number is compatible with the 2006-2007 dodge ram 1500 SLT 4X4. It doesnt say anything about it being only for the Mega cab, unless i'm missing something. So, are my only other options to buy the same old junk from the dealer? I'll have to make some calls and see whats up. Any other help with finding these would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Jeremy

based on the searches that I did they list the 80574 tie rod end for the 07's in both mevotech and moog. This is based on searches on rockauto, thepartsshop, and from moog themselves.

Unfortunately they are short on details, but all of them list that 80574 for the 07. Rock auto says that this is the 17mm thread, the other sites just list this part as the crew cab/std cab tie rod end for the 07?

does anyone know if the 17mm thread is the correct tie rod for the 07's?
Frog you have any info on these?

There is an ongoing thread on another forum specifically about '07 1500 QC 4x4 tie rod ends going on right now. In it, one guy has purchased FIVE different outer tie rod ends that list '07 Rams. NONE have fit. I have read posts on various forums with specific part numbers for 2500/3500s, 1500 4x2s and 1500 MegaCab 4x4s but nobody that I have seen has put up a manufacturer or part number for anything other than Mopar for one that they have actually installed on an '07 1500 4x4 Quad Cab (non-Mega, non-regular cab).

All I can say is if you don't want the crappy Mopar one and don't want to change out the inner tie rod, then order from a place you can return it to. I'm sure a lot of guys would LOVE verification that an aftermarket one actually works.

As far as ALL Moogs being greaseable, I've used maybe four or five different Moog front end parts over the years. Every one of them was greaseable, but that's not saying ALL of them are...

Thumbs up Tie rods! Job Complete!

Hey Guys, Thanks again for all the help!!

Finished my install last week and i though i'd report back so maybe it'll save someone else some time.

I replaced my front and back shocks with Bilstein HD's, upgraded to slotted and drilled front rotors and ceramic pads from brakemotive. I also replaced the outer tie rods with Moog #ES80574 greasables. Everything worked out great. I got my front end alignment and the truck feels like brand new! Took me and a buddy about 8hrs to replace everything. Not bad for a couple of novices! Thank god he has a lift in his barn, made the job much easier! Saved a ton of money and put better parts on than the stealership would have!

Great site, Great info! Thanks again!!!!

Jeremy
