Default got some exhaust work to get fixed and a ?

i have to take my exhaust in to get fixed cause my tail pipe broke off after the muffler and i was wanting to get my cat cut off at the same time is this gonna do any damage to my engine at all or can i just stick in the spark plug non fouler to get rid of the engine codes?

no cat will not hurt and engine and you have the right idea on using the non foulers. I have them on mine and both my cats are gone.

there is a DIY in our FAQs if you need it

The only way i would hurt it would be that it could lean it out, which will make your motor burn up faster. i woudl have the air fuel checked, if its still good then no worries( minus the loss of low-end torque that is)

the pre cat o2 is what meters the air/fuel mixture, taking the cat off usually triggers the rear o2 CEL. Like stated above the non fouler method is the best to resolve this. i have the cat removed on both my trucks and the CEL has only showed on one of them.
