Wanting to level my truck.
i want to level my when i took it in to get my exhaust fixed up he told me that he tends to stay away with dodges because it tends to wreck the steering some how and that he gets too many complaints from people that he caused the problem. i see lots of people on here that level there trucks. Is it gonna cause issues with my steering at all? i just want to level the front two inches then i want to put 2" blocks under the back to give it like a 2" lift im not a huge fan of the levelled look i just want my truck up a bit higher to fit my tires better is cranking my torsion bars the best way to do it and i know ill be wanting to put on longer shocks so whats the best shock to get for that yet not the most expensive any help would be great thanks.
Well, you would need an alignment anytime you touch the suspension whether it's a simple spacer or full suspension lift. Cost $80 most places.
You wont ruin your steering. The racks in these trucks are weak, but it's hit or miss with guys running huge tires. level has nothing to do with the steering, but you will loose a little travel length. if you lift the front 2", you'll loose 2" of suspension travel.
You will bottom out on harder bumps.
You can do a T-crank up front and toss in a 1" block for the rear. That'll be the cheapest.
I know the newer Rams (IFS) have 4wd issue's when lifting, but no issue's for 02-05 that I know.

alright im gonna do the level in the front and i have just been looking at adding another leaf in the back to give the back a little bit of lift but less squat when i load something in the back like my sled or dirt like i usually haul around.
i used a leveling kit from tire rack, its made by truxx, it came with brackets to extend the mount for the shock, putting it back closer to its original length. i clear 325/60/20's on the factory rims. rubs the torsion bar a little at full turn. it did change my ride tho, not sure if its the tires or the kit
