I am not a tuner guy. Don't use them or believe in using them so I can't say use brand XYZ. However just make sure the tuner will work on the 03. At least at one time they had different tuners vs newer trucks. Maybe they have changed that and one tuner will do the 03 at the same time.

The 03 is a one year only set-up as far as using a separate PCM and TCM.

The Predator will support the 03 but may be limited on the trans tuning, I'm not 100% sure.

I would go to the RAM FAQ section and read thru both the Diablosport and Superchips threads for much more info.

Diablo trinity is the mack daddy tuner, has the most ability to monitor tunes and actually see the variants in real time.

Sean says you can't tune an 03 hemi with SCT, has to be SC or DSP. Mild mods, 3865 will do the trick (but no trans options). Need to go custom? DSP. DSP does have its limitations on the 03's as well though. You will not be able to adjust your speed or rev limiter (04 & up are golden). Sucks having the bastard year lol.

I know Weed converted his 04 to an 05 setup, I imagine you would need the entire underhood harness and the PCM/TCM module and just match pinouts. Do a search, I'm betting someone has done it with an 03. There is a guy who put a 2003 hemi setup into a previous gen Dakota and made it work. He was talking about converting to the newer setup. Don't know if he did or not.

I would go to the 05 set-up if upgrading. More trans support.
