Tmr mod?
ive gotten two sides of the story, one is you can go and get a update for your tranny at dodge for free, other is you pull some wire that remoives torque converter managment.
i would like to do either one, can anybody explain in detail how to do the TMR mod? and or give me info on this flash update from dodge

Never heard of the flash method, but if you have an 03 Ram go on google and search 'TMR delete dodgeforum.com' and it should pop up a thread. It will tell you in that thread how to do it, it's a few posts in and there's a picture. I think it's the yellow/green wire closest to the bolt on the TCM, but you better double check.
I followed a thread I found by searching started by abarmby and decided to do this on my 02 4.7 liter. Really, extremely, really easy to do. I do have a few questions regarding the 2nd prime and overdrive situation that was never fully answered in that thread.
....Correct me if I am wrong on the information I have. I read a little while back when I bought the truck that with the 45rfe transmission that when you are traveling at speed and want to pass someone, the transmission will kick down to a passing gear. Which in this transmission is 2nd prime. My understanding is also that 2nd prime is actually an inferior gear and one of Dodges brain farts putting it as a passing gear, and thereby is the result of many transmission failures. So to try to rectify this before passing at speeds above 40 mph, overdrive should be switched to off first, correct? This should be done bone stock or modified.
....Question: What about WOT from takeoff, like at a light? Necessary to switch OD off then?
I ask because I am more likely to WOT from takeoff from time to time then WOT when passing someone. Unfortunately if turning OD off before passing someone will kill my transmission, mine is likely already on its way out as I try to remember to do it when passing but rarely do.

I think that's correct, I always hit O/D off when I kick it down on the highway.
From takeoff it won't hit 2nd prime, its only a kickdown gear. It does seem to spin the tires easier in O/D off, but maybe that's just me

It removes torque management from the 03 trucks.
The 1-2 and 2-3 WOT shifts really pull!!!
To answer a previous poster, yes it is the Green/Yellow wire close to the bolt on the bottom connector of 4 on an 03 PCM from memory.
Do a search and I've posted up on one of my threads some pics I borrowed from another poster on how to do it.
I must say......IT IS the best free mod I've ever done on my truck.
