I got a 2002 Ram 1500 5.9 last year. It has 75k miles, and I don't know what maintence has been done. I've done the e-fan mod, and cleaned the throttle body, but am looking to get better mpg. I get around 11 average. I'm planning on changing the spark plugs, and maybe cap, wires, rotor. I see some people recommending changing the EGR valve too? Anything else specific that I should change for a "tune up"?

Also if there is a preferred brand of wires or anything else please let me know.

 

Add a new PCV valve to that list.

 

dont forget the air filter also
