You mean a 260 cam. You must change the valve springs out to 16 6.1 exhaust springs, use 6.1 pushrods, a new cam and crank bolt, and maybe new head gaskets and head bolts depending on you do it.

I've got a tool for sale to change the valve springs and also another tool to use compressed air to keep the valves up if you change the springs with the heads on the block.

Yep, recommend Comp Beehive, Manley or Mopar 6.1 springs. The Manley's are probably the best but are by far the most expensive. The Mopars are at least as good as the Comps if not better and are a lot cheaper. Pushrods recommended but not necessary, and don't forget to do the retainers with the springs...

CompCams springs are good. I have used them in several engines. I haven't heard anything bad about the Mopar springs either.

HMMM, My Mustang often sees 6500rpm with no spring issues. My old 460 with a comp 268 never had any issues either.
NASCAR uses them as well. 9000rpm +

Maybe they had some Dodge spring issues. I don't know.
