Default Need Some Shock Lengths

Okay I need shock lengths. Front and rear, stock 2wd 1500. extended/compressed

And I also need some part numbers for 2in longer rear shocks. I think the 2500 shocks would work since they have a block in the rear. I could even do 3in longer in the back

The front Im still unsure about. Im trading out for a 2in spacer instead of 2.5. A few companies say the shock limits suspension travel on a 06-08 2wd and I dont know of anyone that tried stock length shocks on these year trucks. I wish someone had stock shocks I could try....Anyway, I could use 2in longer shocks if we could find em for the front also, part numbers!

Thanks guys, this is for a project next week

I also need this info. Looking on the internet for ES9000s, the only applications I get are for 4x4, and also only struts up front. Do our 4x2s use struts as well? If I had just the stock extended/compressed lengths, I could find the correct part numbers from that.

Just a thought about the UCA hitting the spring bucket...if the front shocks limit travel, and we install longer front shocks, wouldn't that make the collisions occur more often? If not, I can purchase the front two shocks from fatbobs in a bundle with the 2" leveling spacers.

I got em from Monroe. I ordered stock length shocks for the front and 4" longer for the back.

You know, im kinda lost on the front length thing. Some people want sthe same, other s longer. It doesnt seem like a shock would last too long if it were stretched like that by limiting travel. The rancho has a limited lifetime warranty so if they break Ill just get the longer ones

brandon, ill let you know how the stock length ones work. Im doing it all thursday

I saw your DIY on the spindles, but didn't see anything about the shocks. I'm assuming this is because you did not change your spacer. At any rate, what shocks did you go with, and what was the length of them? The last two pieces for my lift are the spindles for the front and shocks all around.

Okay well I got new 4" longer shocks for the back (I lifted it 3.5" and they had more extension length) and stock sized shocks for the front. I figured that if the stock size didn't work I would buy 2500 size,, which are 2" longer.

My original plan was to use shock extenders but the Ranchos I bought have studs at least 3x as thick so they don't fit

Anytime I've needed shocks of a different length than stock, I've called 4 Wheel Parts, they have a database that lists the part number for shocks on a particular vehicle with varying lift heights. They'll also price match.

Makes life easy, when I put the 2" BB on my Jeep, I just called and said I needed a ProComp ES3000 (which were on a buy 3 get 1 free deal) for 2" of lift front and rear and viola - I had them on the way...

I saw that, but I can't find any real comparison between the Monroe and the Procomp. All of the forums and threads are just full of speculation or "I only buy brand X shocks" with no reasoning behind it. I know you haven't had your new shocks for very long, but how would you say you like the Monroes?
