A/C trouble
Well guys, I did change the fan and so far so good cause we ended having a couple days in the 90's. It was a bitch taking it out but installing it, went super fast. Didn't even have to disconnect any A/C plumbing, now all I need to do is check the freon. Thanks for all the info
i need someone to get back to me on this. finally getting a chance to get around to checkin my ac out further. i wanna pull the orfice tube. does anyone no exactly where its at? its somewhere between the condenser and evaporater. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks!!
Start at your compressor and feel the cold line back until you feel a spot where its really hot on on side and really cold on the other. Its going to be at a joint somewhere and most likely a crimp in the line to hold it.

well. the other day i tried lookin at my ac some more.. but didnt get far. i put some freeon in it. n when i get the low side around what it should be. the high side is up about 220. i read on napafix er somewhere like that that ram ac systems run around 35-45 low n 220 to 300 high. is this true. and also. i dont remember seein my condenser fan running either. but i really didnt check for it. i heard with the fan not running it can raise pressure. is this also true? my ac doesnt work at idle. goin down the road it works great. so thats whats makin me wonder about the condenser fan. because at idle theres no air being pulled thru like there should be. sorry this is so long. just havent gotten a chance to really check into this as much as id like. n would really like some input to help me out when i do check it out. i really appreciate any and all help. thanks!
Miller....you must look to see if your ac fan is running when the engine is at idle!
That's the first and most easiest thing to do, rather than chase down Opheus tubes and connecting gauges and stuff.
Start simple, then work your way through.
Make sure the fan is really pulling air through the condenser radiator.
These fan motors have carbon brushes in them which over tome wear out.
This cause the fan not to spin and also nit to have much torque behind it.
I replaced those brushes and lapped new ones in, over 2 years ago and everything's fine with my ac. My symptoms were EXACTLY like yours.
Post up what you find please.

well guys. i ABSOLUTELY appreciate your help. everyones help. i finally got to checkin my a/c out. condenser fan not workin. no freeon in the system. so i pulled the condenser out with the fan. very easy to do. took the fan off. fan off motor. tore the motor apart. n found a brush wire broke n the brush was thin as hell. the other brush looked almost new. but we had some brushes in our garage. found one that fits it. sautered it on. put the motor back together. n IT WORKS!! happy as hell. now tomorrow ill put everything back together n charge the system n c what happens. hopefully it stays workin, but if it dont at least i no for sure what i need to get. again, thanks for all the input and help. very much appreciated. will post tomorrow wether my a/c works er not!

That's exactly what I found had happened in my fan motor.
As soon as I touched one of the brushes....the connecting wire litterally fell off.
You'll find that when you get this all buttoned back up and recharged.....you'll have saved more than a few hundred $'s my friend and have a working AC to boot.

well..... ITS FIXED!!!. put the fan back on. put it all back together. got it charged just to the rite pressure. the fan was workin. n i had a/c at idle!!! drove it home. had it to a bone chilling 36.5 degrees F. abolutely happy. so glad its fixed and working. cant thank everyone enough for the help. THANKS AGAIN!!!!!
