Has anyone ever ran 1.5" wheel spacers on a 2500 with there stock rims to get a better look? Also is it safe?

Ive seen some 1500 with 1.5" spacers. They never reported any loss of wheels or anything.

They put a lot of increase wear on your bearings and steering components. If you get them, use the ones with the studs on it and check them every few months.

That's what I was thinking they would do. They cant be any different then offset rims tho, I'd think?

Nope, exact same effect. The difference is you have 64 lug nuts to maintain.

I do have to say, though, that I love the look of my stock rims, but I too wish they stuck out a LITTLE more... like 3/4".

Let us know if you buy some, and how they work out for ya.

I will be ordering these this month. I measured the stock studs and they are almost exactly 1.5" so I want to go with these so I don't have to trim the studs or buy shorter ones.

One of my best friends had one fail on his truck on the exit ramp of I85 in Atlanta, the lugs sheered right off and away went his wheel and tire as he was going 'round the exit ramp.
This was sometime around 1997 and they are "supposed" to be more reliable now, I don't think Hub Centrics existed yet.

Personally, I don't trust them, even less on a 3/4 ton, but I know more than a few with them on 1500s who've never had a problem. So I can't really condemn them outright.

If it was me though, I'd be looking at some deep dishes to make the stance more aggressive. Hell, you can buy Crager Soft 8s with a nice backspacing to throw the tires out a bit in black for under $100 a wheel and chrome for like $125 and they are very strong steel wheels that don't look bad at all...
