We had a company that was making the bases, "alternators", and blades for the windmills they are putting everywhere. Two employees took all of it!

Anyway, where can you get copper tape or even sheet copper? I never see it anywhere?

Try a guitar shop, any worth their salt should have some in stock.

Okay well update. I ordered some copper foil tape from ebay. Its expensive! Anyway, got it in and finally got around to wrapping my ballasts

Wrapped each ballast meticulously with no bare metal showing except for plugs and mounting tabs. Then wrapped with ducting tape for the weatherproofing. With all of my wiring and mounting, it took a good minute to get it all done. Excitedly, I turned on the truck and radio and it was super clear. Turned the HIDs on, and back comes the static

EMI tape does not work. Have to figure something else out.

Try grounding the antenna plug on the back of the cd player. Wrap a smallish wire around the post, plug it in, and ground it to a bolt nearby behind the radio (something worthy of a ground). I'd go with something like 16 or 18 gauge. Nothing huge, but obviously bigger is more effective so don't go too small.
