Default 2007 Hemi 5.7 Ram 1500

Was going to do my dads plugs and I just went out there to look at them and saw the coils. Are both plugs under the coils? I don't see any wires coming off the coils? Also what plugs are recommended?

Edit: also on my truck the PCV valve is it on the drivers side on the valve cover. Looks like a clamp holds onto it, how do I release it without breaking it? It's a 2008 1500 4.7L

The PCV valve on the Hemi is on the passenger side, slightly behind the throttle body. It usually needs pliers to remove. You can clean it a few times before it needs replacement. The 4.7 PCV is way cheaper so it can just get pitched for a new one. As for removal of that one, I'd guess twisting it counter-clockwise once the clamp is off. The clamp may be all that's holding it.

As for the Hemi plugs, I used NGK 5306s on both of mine.

Might be on the 08 4.7L. I've never seen one up close. The plugs are usually easier on the 4.7L then the Hemi. You do not need to change the bottom plugs until about 100K. They are platinum. The top 8 are copper and should be changed at 30K like the Hemi.

It took me about 1hr 20min to do my hemi when I did them for the first time. The ones under the brake booster are a little tricky, but not real bad.

The PCV is supposed to be good for like 105K according to the owners manual. I would worry about it if your not close to 100k.

Only 1-1/2? Damn things look tough. Guess I'll find out. And if the PVC valve is supposed to last 100k then I'll just clean it

I thought it would take me longer too. I started back on the driver side to do the hard ones first
