I have never checked the price for a shaft at a junkyard, but I am sure they are only a little cheaper than new. Why not upgrade why you do it? Steering isn't the place I would be cheeping out on...

And how did you damage it?

They are much cheaper in the junkyard. I almost bought the $320 borgeson until I found one on ebay for $50. Borgeson is the supposed to be the best steering shaft out there. So if you have that much to spend on a steering shaft, I would go for it.

Otherwise, if a junkyard has a good one I would go for it. This one is pretty cheap.

Let me know what part you damaged. I have some good parts from a steering shaft I can give you cheap if needed.

Thanks alot for all the help. I have a 2 piece shaft and the lower portion is available from the dealer for $100 bucks. I got a little too agressive with the air hammer trying to get the Shaft on the stering extention and damaged the joint. Busch league mistake my friends... Anyways the lift looks sick. Sucks I pulled the rear differential cover and found a broken 'clutch retainer' floating around.... but that will be a different thread! Thanks Again Dodge faithfull
