Default engine swap

i've been keeping an eye out for a 3rd gen v8 but all i'm finding are 2nd gens has anyone done that before?i have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 3.7 2wd

Sure it is possible. Anything is possible. But at a minimum you would need the PCM, all the harnesses and Im not sure what all else

I have a 318 that came out of my 1996 Dodge 1500. Complete with wiring,computer,starter,alt..all pulleys and converter. The motor was running but will need oil pump and rod bearings. I changed it out for a 360. $250.00 O.B.o

i found this what else would i need

IDK with it being a 2nd Gen engine. I would post over in that section and let them answer that for you better and more accurately than I could
