does anyone know what size mud tires/rims i can put on my truck?
I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. Right now I have stock tires and rims P275/60R20. Does anyone know, without getting a lift kit, what size rims and mud tires I could get that would fit this truck? I'm going to get a lift eventually, but I can only afford the tires first, so they would have to still fit without a lift and without turning the torsion bars up. If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
I think the biggest tire you can go with on an unlifted, stock Ram is 305's.. or 33"s (same thing).. 35's require some fender shaving or you'll rub.. As far as rim's go, I've seen everything from 16s to 22's.. It's more about lug pattern and how much rubber you want, versus how much wheel.. (On the trail, more rubber is almost always better than more wheel.)
Just remember, if you go with a bigger tire/rim, you may need to get your speedometer adjusted.. Good luck..
