Yep

And I can't agree on the FM being a better design.

Plus the FM is aluminized, costs more while the Maggy is stainless and costs less...
Its just a smoother transition without a large void to introduce turbulence slowing velocity, yes the 2.5" in / 3" out will work just fine but the stock downpipes are 2.25" so its not a exact fit. But the performance comparason between the two is abysmal at most.

The flowmaster actually looks almost identical to the one the shop made for me except with mine there is a little bit of a crush on the inside of the two pipes where they meet. It's like they had to put a flat in them to jam them into the larger pipe. Nothing like the completely crushed stock "Y" and I'm sure there is next to no restriction, not it's not wide a$$ open like the Maggy...

Can you just cut the old out and put the magnaflow one in with clamps or do you need more exhaust pipe?

Another option is to take the "Y" out completely, and go 2.5" into a dual in/out muffler. This is what I did, and I absolutely love it.

Amazon also has the magnaflow 10778 (dual 2.5 into single 3") for $27.xx with free shipping. pretty much the same price as autoanything, just another option.
