Default iac motor/valve trouble!!!! please help

i have a 2006 dodge ram 1500 4x4 4.7 liter. I am having a problem installing the iac valve/motor. I just wont go in. I broke the old one trying to get it back in and have now broken the new one trying to install it. When i was trying to install the new one i even had it lubed up pretty dang good. If anyone can give me some tips or some steps on what i should do i would really appreciate it.... until i get it fixed i have no way to work!!!

Mine's a Hemi, so I'm not sure what's going on. Are you talking about the throttle body? That shouldn't need any type of lube. It's just four screws or so, isn't it?

The IAC should just go right in. There shouldn't be anything in the hole to stop it. It has to twist after it goes so far in to go flush. Line up the bolt holes, the twist it left about 1/4 turn then gently push it in while twisting it to the right until it goes into place.

Sounds like you broke the mounting tabs by wrenching on the bolts to suck it in flush? That's a no-no unless your positive about that particular application.
