Default Ventilation fan blows but little air comes out

My '05 Ram has a ventilation issue that probably has an easy fix but I haven't been able to search it out. My fan works fine and adjusts fine with the switch but I am not getting the air volume from any setting (defrost/dash/floor). When I switch from one setting to another, there is a little air coming from the ducts but it is like something is not allowing the air to coming out. Do you have an idea on this (and perhaps pics of what might need to be repaired)? Thank you!

Do a search on BLEND DOOR and you might find what your looking for. Typical problem with the Rams.

I have looked at many of the threads but don't see an exact match. It does allow me to describe the problem better.

The ventilation issue - worked great one day, the next morning the inability to get a volume of air from anywhere (dash, defrost or heat) started.

Even on high fan speed it didn't change. You could feel a very little amount of air coming out from the appropriate duct when switch from vent to heat, etc.

Is this something that the whole dash would have to be removed for my situation?

Recirculate door maybe. Remove fan and stick your hand up in the hole and see if it's blocked. Mine was and I just removed the broke door and it works fine. Never use recirculate anyway.

I always use recirc. for the a/c, it cools much better cooling the cooler air in the cab vs the hot outside air.

My wife had a similar problem with a car. I removed the fan assembly and found that a mouse had built a nice little nest inside the squirrel cage fan! I had to laugh and wondered if the mouse ever got dizzy! ! ! Anyway ... I removed the nest, vacuumed the air ducts and set a mouse trap on the passenger floor. The next morning, I removed the intruder. I later discovered that the little varmint had also been chewing on the rubber hoses under the hood too! ! ! Glad I caught the little sucker.

Remove the Blower Motor, ur Recirculating door probably broke off and laying on top of the blower motor. Very common on that generation of RAM. You can take the door out from the Blower Motor hole.
say good bye to recirculation mode!! unless u plan to take apart the whole dash to fix it.
