Hi, I have a 2008 Ram 1500 4x4 HEMI thats had surging issues the last 8-9k. I originally had a missfire code on #4 Cylinder so all the plugs got changed. 3 weeks later code came back for same #4 cylinder and Dealer said was just a bad plug and changed those two. About a month later got the same code, replaced same two cylinders and they reflashed the computer. Now it surges off idle then again at about 16-1700 rpm. No check engine light though. Am I missing something? The dealer says its the sound of my exhaust! lol Ive had that exhaust on the truck since 3 weeks after I bought it new so I very much doubt that. Any help will be much appreciated!

It may come down to being an electric connection drop in then engine/manifold harness somewhere.

We have lots of threads on misfiring and you (and like most others) have gotten most of the simple things out of the way. You changed plugs and reflashed the PCM.

You could take the No 4 coil and swap it out with No 6. Check all those electrical connections for looseness or corrosion also though
