Default Will this work???

So I'm going to be putting in Pacesetter LT's soon (yay) and im just gonna get the y pipe that matches it from Summit. The problem is whoever had the truck before I bought it put on shorty headers, some new y pipe, and a custom exhaust with only one cat. When I redo the exhaust I want to still keep a cat on it but i think I'm going to have to get rid of the part of the pipe with the O2 sensor. My question is can I just put this piece of pipe in after the cat and go on from there? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-41821/ Also I might have to extend O2 sensor wires, how can I do that or is there a longer replacement one I can buy.
Sorry for the long post, thanks

You can do that but you can also just buy an O2 bung for about $5. They make O2 extension wires from www.Airram.com or you can cut and extended them. I did mine that way and used 3M heat shrink electrical butt splices and then covered them in wire loom after wards so they cannot be seen
