Default Looking for an answer

I'm no mecanic but have been a dodge owner for a long time. I have a 2006 mega cab and while stopping or taking off it often feels like the rear end clunks and stops leter than the rest of the truck. Hope i explained this well enough to get an answer or suggestion. Thanks

You might as well crack open the rear end and see how it looks. A gear oil change cant hurt even a fairly new rear end.

I had something like this, almost like a studder in between when you go into/out of gear and when the gears try to engage. I had to get the rear end replaced

How much did that cost Matt, and what was the failure? C-clips?

i asked about c clips and the guy had no idea what I was talking about. I asked that they take the c clips out of the new one and they didnt. I tried to explain but he said that as far as he knew they were essential to keeping the clutch packs together.

It was warranty work. So far ive gotten a new tranny and a new rear end. I just need a new motor now.

Ohh nothing is wrong other than the fact that it doesn't run on diesel

It's creeping up on 50. I think I'm at 47ish. I need to change the plugs lol

if you just tore up the gears, its about 200 plus install kit plus labor. Labor runs anywhere from 300 to 600 and the install kit is either 50 for a mini and 150 for a full
