Today I went to start the truck it would not start up normally. I can get it to start pressing the gas but it bearly running. I pulled to codes and a get the P300 and all cylinder code except 1 & 5. Last time I drove it ran fine. I did fill up with gas recently but drove just this week down the block and back. We are going on vacation tomorrow so I guess we will be pulling with the Navigator instead.

Might still be on vacation but have you had a chance to get back to this yet?

Came back on Tuesday after Memorial day to have it taken to the shop. Delayed our vacation a couple of days. It appears one of the coils shorted damaging the PCM. Had the PCM and all eight coils replaced by the dealer. The truck has been running fine since then. It was an expensive repair though.

I can imagine, last I priced a PCM alone as a favor for someone it was $700 and that was supposedly the dealership giving me a "deal"...

The PCM was only $490 but the 8 coils were $426 plus $428 for the labor. I had a 10% off service coupon that helped. I asked if coils shorting were common and they said they have been seeing more of them. We gave up going to Chattanooga and arrived in Pigeon Forge, Tn last Thursday. The 2500 handled the inclines pretty well. I changed my mind on towing with the Navigator because I was hearing noise at times not sure were it is coming from but that was towing flat with just a headwind.
