I hate to hear about that. I worried way too much about that, so ive done alot of homework on the exhusat before i go to buy. Wich sadly i havnt gotten to do yet. I want flowmaster 40's cause i hear there really loud and its loud then the 50 series. So just change out the muffler. What did you get before? A hold cat-back or just a muffler change? If just a muffler change get rid of the resinator too if you have one.

I had dual magnaflow exhaust for awhile then I switched it out for dual flowmasters. I like the flowmasters a lot more. They are louder and have a better sound when you get on it.

did you just do muffler or cat back or from headers back and remove cat? What size pipe did you go with?

If you've got the factory cat you might consider replacing it for a high flow cat to incease flow and noise.
