2004 ram 1500 Auto Trans Problem
My name is Michael Gardner and i'm new here. Long time reader, but first time posting. I have a 2004 Ram 1500 with 4.7 engine and 45rfe trans. I recently changed my spark plugs, cleaned throttle body, replaced Throttle Position Sensor, and replaced Idle Air Control Motor. After I replaced all of the that, I've starting having shifting issues. Sometimes when I accelerate from a dead stop, my truck bogs down like if you were in a standard trying to take off in too high of a gear. If i throw it into first and back into drive it will take off no problem. And sometimes it takes off with no problem, like nothings wrong. The rest of the time, such as driving down the highway, it shifts through the gears fine except for a few days ago. I was going down a hill on the highway and i let off the gas. The engine suddenly jumped up in rpms like the trans had shifted into a lower gear. Since then, no other issues driving at highway speeds. But still have the occassional dead stop accelleration issues. Any ideas of what this could be would greatly appreciated. There is no check engine light. I decided to hook it up to scanner when I got home today anyway and it is throwing P0113 IAT Sensor High Voltage. I'm headed to get a new one, but could this be causing all these shift problems?
Thanks,
Michael

I got the filters and fluid changed. I could tell a difference in how it was shifting into gear while parked before i checked the new fluid level. I took it on a test drive and it shut down going down the road at about 40 mph. I checked the new code and it was P2074. How do i fix this?
When I changed the trans fluid, the battery was unhooked the whole time. It died two times this morning going down the road. What is else could cause this problem? Now it is idling high, at about 1100 rpm and then drops to about 500 rpm when i put it in drive. It is still hesitating on from acceleration sometimes.
Well i changed the pcv valve and it is idling at 600 now. I thought i could hear a hissing sound (vaccuum leak?) coming from somewhere inbetween the engine and firewall. I climbed up there and followed the hose that goes from the pcv valve to the back of the engine. I assume there is suppose to be some sort of elbow that connects into the engine, but it was a piece of hose that had a V-shape cut out, then folded over to form an elbow and electrical taped to keep its shape. Where do I find the connector for this? Don't know if this is the source of my problems yet, since I taped it back up and put it back in there for now. I haven't taken it for a test drive yet, but did let it idle for 15 mins and the rpms seemed pretty stable. When it cools down I will drive it, just don't want it break down and have to walk home in the hottest part of the day, LOL
This is what I was referring to...

Since you replaced your sensor, try that.
