Has Anyone Debadged?
most of the badges are simply "stuck" on with the 3m style double sided tape... best to use a heat gun or really high wattage hair dryer to heat up the emblem a bit, makes the adhesive a bit more plyable. If you live here in Texas you dont need to preheat it, the 100 degree sun will due just fine. Just take a really good hold on that baby and pull. And contrary to some peoples ideas, dont use anything like a screwdriver to pry it off. Your likely to either dent the metal or scratch it. Home Depot and Lowe's both carry plastic paint scrapers that are much cheaper than having a dent pulled or paint repaired.
Yes, I am working on it. A little word to the wise. I haven't pulled a badge yet where the tape didn't slplit and leave most of the foam on the truck. I tried using the Goo Gone and found it still difficult to get the rest of the glue off the truck. Then I tried using charcoal lighter fluid and it peeled right off. Let the lighter fluid soak for about 20 seconds before you pull it off and make sure the remaining material is saturated.
You would probably only have to worry about that on older trucks if the paint has faded. Mine was the same color.

instead of using lighter fluid, try using 3M adhesive remover, you can purchase small cans of it at Pep Boys or go to your local auto paint supplier and get a large can of it. Its great for getting grease out carpet too... and it wont eat your paint off, only wax. If you heat up the left over adhesive with a heat gun then you can rub it off with your thumb and fingers, sure it still takes time.. just less of it.
