Valve spring Tool
Hey guys I have an 03 hemi engine I'm swapping out my old valve springs for 6.1 springs with the bucket. My question to you 3rd Gen guys is does anyone have a blueprint and list of what to buy for the head on valve spring compressor. I have read multiple threads on the swap but haven't been able to find a DIY on fabricating the tool. 75 more dollars isn't really an option I'm already too much into my build (according to my wife) any help would be much appreciated.
In all honesty, by the time you buy a stick of flat bar, round bar, allthread, a coupler and some washers and find someone with a milling machine to cut the fork for you and weld it (assuming you dont have a welder) you are already at 75+ for material and machining/welding costs.
If I didnt have a milling machine and lathe at work and have my own end mill bits I couldnt make one.

I do have a welder and access to a full machine shop and matrials free of charge. Pretty much the only thing I need is a set of plans. I was just trying to make it easier to mock up. I'm not trying to scam anyone either by getting plans for one and then selling them to other people . My wife is at her wits end on my project my truck has been sitting for over a year. We have our first kid coming in july and we just put all our extra money into paying the doctor and hospital, you get a sizeable discount if you prepay. So I'm just trying to wrap it up. I still have to figure out what's wrong with my computer, wire my door locks in, replace my valves, custom make brake lines to run from hemi controller to my Gen 2 brakes, buy a charcoal canister release valve, and find a hemi air box. So I'm trying to save everywhere I can for fear of my life more than anthing. Women don't understand projects ha ha.

Yeah we don't have insurance. I'm a student and I work part-time so I have no insurance and my wife had lost hers because she hadn't been on the clock enough, she works at Nordstrom they clock out when they aren't in an app or they can get fired for having a low "sales per hour" number. So we should be getting insurance in August so we are hoping our little girl will be late for everything like her mom. Ha ha. The Doc gives a seventy five percent discount if you prepay. So we jumped on that. Still 1990 bucks but she's paid for.

I'm not trying to rub it in, it's just sad how private health care can gouge people for medical services, especially if you are a student. In fact, if you are a student here in Canada, most or all services are subsidized.
Good luck with birth!
